Gemma founded The Foot Lab in 2019 with one clear vision: to raise the standard of foot, ankle and lower limb care.

Driven by a passion for clinical excellence and a genuine desire to help people move better, Gemma has built The Foot Lab into one of the North West’s leading specialist foot, ankle and lower limb clinics. By combining expert clinical knowledge with continual investment in advanced technology, evidence-based practice and an exceptional patient experience, she has created a clinic trusted by patients from across the region.

Alongside leading The Foot Lab, Gemma works within elite sport as the Consultant Podiatrist to Manchester United First Team, bringing experience from the highest level of professional sport into everyday clinical practice. Her specialist interests include biomechanics, lower limb injuries, gait analysis, rehabilitation, custom orthotic therapy and helping people of all ages stay active, independent and pain free.

Gemma believes that every patient, whether attending for routine podiatry, diabetic foot care, a sports injury or complex lower limb rehabilitation, deserves the same exceptional standard of care, attention to detail and personalised treatment.

She has also created a culture of continual learning within The Foot Lab, investing heavily in her team, professional development and advanced assessment and treatment technology to ensure patients always have access to the highest standards of modern foot, ankle and lower limb care.

Before founding The Foot Lab, Gemma made the decision to retrain in podiatric medicine as a mature student while balancing family life, graduating with First Class Honours. That determination, resilience and commitment to excellence continue to shape everything The Foot Lab stands for today.
