What to expect at your appointment.

Core Podiatry & Chiropody Care Appointments

If you are attending for routine foot care, your appointment may include treatment such as:

  • Nail cutting and nail care
  • Corn and callus removal
  • Hard skin reduction
  • Cracked heel care
  • Thickened nail reduction
  • Fungal nail advice
  • Ingrown toenail treatment
  • General diabetic foot care and foot health checks

These appointments are focused on keeping your feet healthy, comfortable, and well maintained. Treatment is usually carried out during the appointment, and we will also provide advice to help you maintain your foot health at home.

Pain Clinics & Biomechanical Assessment Appointments

If you are attending for heel pain, foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain, sports injury, gait concerns, or performance issues, your appointment will be more in-depth and focused on identifying the root cause of the problem.

These appointments may include:

  • Detailed history of your symptoms and goals
  • Clinical examination
  • Biomechanical assessment
  • Gait analysis
  • Pressure plate analysis
  • Strength and asymmetry testing
  • Footwear review
  • Rehabilitation planning

Please wear or bring the footwear most relevant to your symptoms such as trainers, work shoes, football boots, or running shoes. Shorts or loose clothing can also be helpful for lower limb assessments.
